Real Valladolid travels to Real Sociedad on Saturday hoping to end a run of nine games in La Liga without a win. Watch the game live and for free on Fubo today.

A forgettable campaign is at risk of getting even worse for Real Sociedad unless it can lift its spirits in La Liga by bringing an end to its six-game winless run at home to Real Valladolid on Saturday. More than a month has passed since La Real last won a fixture, having fallen out of the Europa League and trailing Real Madrid 1-0 ahead of the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final. Luckily for Imanol Alguacil’s side, however, Real Valladolid sits plum last in Spain’s top flight and has gone nine games of its own without tasting victory.

There will be a sense in San Sebastian that if Real Sociedad can’t get three points on the board this weekend, the hosts may as call this season a loss after months of inconsistency.

La Real currently sit 12th in La Liga and has failed miserably to impress this term, with the team’s attack in particular looking miles off the standard expected from this club.

To put Real Sociedad’s 25 league goals this season into context, last-place Valladolid is the only outfit in La Liga who has scored fewer (18).

Star forward Mikel Oyarzabal scored twice in Spain’s 2-2 draw against the Netherlands on Sunday before his side advanced to the UEFA Nations League semi-finals following a penalty shootout:

Valladolid won’t have had nearly as many internationals busy over the break, though Juanmi Latasa is one hot commodity the team will want firing fit upon the return to action.

The 24-year-old has been responsible for each of Valladolid’s last two goals, scoring in back-to-back games against Valencia and Las Palmas after months without a goal since joining in the summer.

Regional restrictions may apply.
