Alex Cooper is nipping this rumor in the bud.
After Alix Earle told her followers she “can’t” podcast for unexplained reasons following her departure from Cooper’s Unwell network, the Call Her Daddy host cleared up speculation that she has anything to do with it.
“Hi I see ur comments,” Cooper wrote in a March 26 Instagram Story post. “Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do with Unwell. Idk why she can’t/what’s going on. Unwell gave her everything back she owns her IP.”
And the 30-year-old alluded to her own 2021 departure from Barstool Sports, tagging its founder Dave Portnoy and adding, “Learned from the best.”
Indeed, following Earle’s Feb. 25 drop from Unwell, a spokesperson from SiriusXM told Variety that the network “renounced all rights” to Hot Mess.
Cooper’s statement came just a few hours after Earle told followers she is unable to continue her show elsewhere for unexplained reasons.

“I have to put a pause on podcasting right now for the foreseeable future,” Earle said in a March 26 TikTok video. “Don’t really want to get into the details of it all, and I kind of can’t get into the details of it all right now, but I’ve loved it so much, and I’m really proud of what I built with the podcast.”
But, as the the 24-year-old noted, fans will still be able to keep up with her.
“I don’t want to just leave you astray and not leave you with anything,” she continued. “I also think I would lose my mind. So, good news is I’m gonna be putting out weekly vlogs for the foreseeable future.”

Earle and Cooper’s updates come amid rumors of a rift between the influencers—which began when Earle did not attend an Unwell Super Bowl party in New Orleans last month. Speculation of bad blood only grew when Earle abruptly cut ties with Unwell.
Cooper, for her part, has not addressed the feud. Earle meanwhile made a cryptic statement pertaining to the alleged beef in a TikTok video shortly after she was dropped from Unwell.
“Obviously, there’s been a lot of chatter online this week about me and work,” she said in the Feb. 28 video. “And I also have no idea what’s going on.”
Whatever the case, Cooper and Earle have proved themselves to be the cream of the crop when it comes to the online market. Keep reading for more of the highest paid influencers….
