Mikey Madison, Jack Black and Jon Hamm will be the next hosts of “Saturday Night Live,” with Morgan Wallen; Elton John and Brandi Carlile; and Lizzo serving as musical guests.
March 29 will mark Madison’s “SNL,” debut fresh off her “Anora” best actress win at the Oscars. Besides playing the title role in Sean Baker’s awards-sweeping film, her prominent credits include 2022’s “Scream,” 2019’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and the series “Better Things,” which ran on FX from 2016 to 2022.
She will be joined by Wallen, who has performed on “SNL” once before when Jason Bateman hosted in 2020. Wallen will soon go on tour in support of his upcoming album “I’m The Problem.”
Black returns to “SNL” for his fourth episode as host on April 5, having previously headlined the show in 2002, 2003 and 2005. Best known for comedy films such as “School of Rock,” “Nacho Libre,” “Tropic Thunder” and more, he will next be seen in “A Minecraft Movie,” which premieres April 4.
John and Carlile will perform together as musical guests on Black’s episode. John was first an “SNL” musical guest in 1982 alongside host Johnny Cash, then pulled double-duty as host and musical guest in 2011, while Carlile has performed on episodes hosted by Jason Sudeikis in 2021 and Steve Martin and Martin Short in 2022. The April 5 show marks the first “SNL” appearance as a duo for John and Carlile, whose joint album “Who Believes in Angels?” debuts April 4.
April 12 will mark Hamm’s fourth time leading “SNL,” having previously hosted in 2008 and twice in 2010, though he’s also made more than a dozen cameos on the show. Best known for starring as Don Draper in AMC’s “Mad Men,” he is also the star and executive producer of the Apple TV+ series “Your Friends and Neighbors,” which premieres April 11.
Lizzo will also be a fourth-timer on “SNL.” She served as both host and musical guest in 2022, and was musical guest for Eddie Murphy in 2019 and Austin Butler in 2022. She recently released the single “Still Bad” from her upcoming album “Love in Real Life.”
