South Boston was awash in green Sunday as crowds turned out in droves for the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. From families lining the sidewalks to revelers decked out in festive gear, people from all over gathered to take in the music, floats, and spirited atmosphere.
As the procession wound its way along Broadway and through the heart of South Boston, bars filled quickly, trains ran at full capacity, and the streets pulsed with energy — and plenty of noise. Mayor Michelle Wu even marched in the parade, waving to the crowds.
