Rolling Loud just got a bit more interesting.
The upcoming R-rated hip-hop comedy has added artists like Sexyy Red, Ty Dolla $ign, and Ski Mask the Slump God to its cast, Variety reports. Rolling Loud stars Owen Wilson and Matt Rife as a father-son duo and will include an appearance from Henry Wrinkler as well.
The official synopsis about the movie on IMDB reads: “A father makes a bad parenting choice by taking his young son to a wild hip-hop festival, leading to chaos as they navigate crowds, security, and family dynamics with eccentric companions.” Per the outlet, the film will see Wilson’s character trying to sneak his 13-year-old son into the event, spawning a wild day of side missions and chaotic adventures.
The film is currently in production in Atlanta and was written, directed, and produced by American High CEO Jeremy Garelick.
Art often imitates life, and Wilson’s reaction to Sexyy Red’s Rolling Loud appearance in Miami last year did just that. In the viral clip, the Wedding Crashers actor could be seen captivated by the St. Louis rapper’s rendition of “Sticky,” her track with Tyler, The Creator, GloRilla, and Lil Wayne. It can be assumed the two will have great chemistry on the set of the movie, as Sexyy replied to the clip, “Dats my baby Owen” with two kissing emojis on X.
Sexyy Red and Ski Mask the Slump God are also set to perform at Rolling Loud California, which will take place March 15 and 16 at Hollywood Park. A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, and Peso Pluma are the confirmed headliners for the event.
