When Miami picks in all seven rounds

play

The next class of football stars have completed their workouts at the NFL combine. And now fans of the Miami Dolphins have about two months to sit back and wonder which they will be cheering for at the NFL draft.

There are still pro days to watch for in March, as college football programs will showcase their own players to interested teams. And who knows if any big trades will shake up the draft order. The start of free agency will narrow down the list of needs Mike McDaniel and the Dolphins will need to address come late April.

For now, we know they have to protect Tua Tagovailoa. Miami’s 8-9 season came to be in large part because their franchise quarterback missed six games. Will they trade Tyreek Hill to retool their offense? The defense finished fourth in yardage and 10th in scoring; could GM Chris Grier choose to bring in new life on the defensive line or the secondary?

Who will the Dolphins take in the 2025 NFL draft? Here’s what you need to know, including what picks the Dolphins have and how to watch the draft on TV and streaming:

Dolphins mock draft

The Dolphins have several needs they need to address in the NFL draft. Chief among them are on the offensive line: Perennial Pro Bowl tackle Terron Armstead could retire, and starting guards Liam Eichenberg and Robert Jones are free agents. Protecting Tagovailoa is the team’s primary concern, as the offense has fallen apart when he’s been injured over the past three seasons. Guard is a prime position to address early in the draft.

Or Miami could look at a safety with its first-round pick. Star Jevon Holland is expected to see big-money offers in free agency, and the Dolphins’ other starting safety, Jordan Poyer, also is a free agent. Other needs include cornerback, defensive end, defensive tackle, tight end and backup quarterback.

The latest mock drafts from Joe Schad and Hal Habib lay out who the Dolphins should pick in the first round.
