This will be their first meeting, contrasting Cirstea’s experience with Shnaider’s rising talent. While the Russians’ upward trajectory and statistical advantages suggest they have a slight edge, the Romanians are more grounded players and should bring their vast experience to bear.

Varvara Gracheva vs Caroline Dolehide

With comparable recent performances–each securing three wins in their last six matches–this is another interesting encounter. Given their evenly matched abilities and history of competitive play, this encounter is anticipated to be tightly contested.
Gracheva’s previous victory over Dolehide and marginally superior service may give her a slight edge. However, Dolehide’s resilience under pressure suggests she could capitalize on any opportunities. Ultimately, I think Gracheva’s service will come to her aid if she maintains consistency throughout. Besides, having played the championship match here last season, she is in familiar terrain.

Since their last meeting, both players have shown notable progress. Interestingly, both players have identical records on hardcourts, with each winning seven out of 11 matches, even coming back from a set down to win their respective first-round matches.
This is expected to go the wire, but I’ll g with Lamens who unleashed six aces in her previous match to navigate a win and equal their head-to-head.

McCartney Kessler vs Cristina Bucsa
Head–to–Head: First Meeting
Kessler has been one of the promising players of 2025, with eight wins out of 13 matches, and her first-round victory over Viktorija Golubic highlights her current form and confidence on the court.
While Bucsa’s experience and determination make her a tricky opponent, considering both players’ recent performances and current form, Kessler’s momentum and home crowd support will earn her victory.
