Clear the red carpet, more stars are lining up for Hollywood’s biggest night.
Oprah Winfrey, Selena Gomez, Ben Stiller, Willem Dafoe, Goldie Hawn, Sterling K. Brown, Joe Alwyn, Lily-Rose Depp, Ana de Armas and Connie Nielsen are set to take the stage as presenters during the 97th Oscars, per executive producer and showrunner Raj Kapoor and executive producer Katy Mullan who confirmed Wednesday.
Also booking a high-profile gig for the telecast is Nick Offerman, who will serve as the announcer. The versatile Emmy Award-winning performer will be making his first appearance at the Academy Awards, though he’s attended one of the night’s most coveted afterparties at Vanity Fair several times with wife Megan Mullally. Offerman follows in the footsteps of David Alan Grier, who served as the “voice of God” for the 2024 Oscar telecast.
Two-time Oscar nominee Winfrey earned her nods for producing Ava DuVernay’s best picture contender Selma and for a supporting turn in Steven Spielberg’s The Color Purple. She also was honored with a Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award in 2012. Gomez is among the high-profile cast of leading Oscar contender Emilia Perez, while Alwyn hails from Brady Corbet’s contender The Brutalist.
Stiller is currently making rounds for his contributions on the second season of Severance. Dafoe and Depp star in Robert Eggers’ critically acclaimed Nosferatu, while Nielsen reunited with Ridley Scott on his epic Gladiator II. Brown, Oscar-nominated for his work in Cord Jefferson’s American Fiction, stars in Hulu’s Paradise, and de Armas, who earned a nom for Blonde, next stars in Ballerina. Hawn is a two-time Oscar nominee who won the best actress in a supporting role trophy in 1970 for Cactus Flower.
The roster of new additions join previously announced Oscar presenters including Halle Berry, Penélope Cruz, Robert Downey Jr., Elle Fanning, Whoopi Goldberg, Scarlett Johansson, John Lithgow, Cillian Murphy, Amy Poehler, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, June Squibb, Emma Stone and Bowen Yang.
Hosted by Conan O’Brien from inside the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood, the Oscars will air live on ABC and stream on Hulu March 2 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. Additional talent confirmations are expected in the coming days.
