Florida football legend Tim Tebow and wife Demi-Leigh Tebow pregnant

The legacy of one of the greatest Gators will live on as Tim Tebow and his wife of five years, Demi-Leigh Tebow, announced Tuesday they are expecting the couple’s first child.

Look out Gator fans.

The next generation of one of the greatest athletes in Florida history could be incoming.

Demi-Leigh Tebow, wife of UF great Tim Tebow, announced Tuesday that she was pregnant with the couple’s first child.

In an exclusive interview with People magazine, Demi-Leigh said the couple is “over the moon” to have their first child.

“I’m so grateful because I just couldn’t imagine a better life partner to do life with first and foremost,” she told People. “To be able to raise a little tiny human being together. I’m so grateful that Tim is my husband… that we get to do parenting together.”

She is 16 weeks pregnant. In the exclusive, Tim Tebow said the pregnancy has completely changed his outlook on life.

“It’s just amazing how it also reprioritizes and changes what you put an emphasis on and what you value most,” Tebow told People. “News like that just supersedes the level of importance and the level of joy that you have.”

A 29-year-old from Sedgefield, South Africa, Demi-Leigh met Tim in 2018 — one year after becoming Miss Universe. By January 2019, the two were engaged from Tim’s home in Jacksonville. On January 20, 2020, the two got married an hour outside Cape Town in South Africa.

Tebow, of course, starred for the Gators from 2006-2009. He won the Heisman in 2007, becoming the third Gator to do so and the first sophomore. He also won the program’s second and third national championships in 2006 and 2008.

He now works as a analyst for ESPN and the SEC Network and is part of the SEC Network’s weekly Saturday traveling pregame show SEC Nation.

“Baby Tebow” is due this summer, and who knows? He or she could be stepping foot on UF campus in 2043…
