Some notes
- Kicker Harrison Butker (left knee) was limited in practice all week and received a questionable designation. However, on Saturday morning, multiple reports indicated that Butker would be activated for the game, meaning Matthew Wright will be released.
- Coordinator Dave Toub on Wright winning the AFC special teams player of the week: “That was huge for him. It’s going to help him down the road. Eventually, Butker’s coming back and we can’t have three kickers, so it might help him get a job down the road. He deserves it.”
- After missing practice all week, left tackle D.J. Humphries (hamstring) was downgraded to out for the game on Saturday. Wide receiver Hollywood Brown (shoulder) logged a limited practice Friday (more here) and has been ruled out for the game.
- Head coach Andy Reid on weighing options at left tackle: “I’ll see where we’re at with it. We rotated guys in there, so we’ll see what the end result is there.”
- With their announcement on Humphries, the Chiefs also noted they elevated linebacker Swayze Bozeman and tight end Anthony Firkser for the game.
- Right tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee) was upgraded to a full participant on Thursday and Friday after logging a limited session on Wednesday. He is good to go. Cornerback Joshua Williams (chest) — who had to leave Sunday’s game early — was a full participant all week and is also good to go.
- The Browns listed five questionable players, including tight end David Njoku (hamstring) and left guard Joel Bitonio (back). On Wednesday, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters that Njoku is “day to day.”
- Like Butker, defensive tackle Mike Hall (knee) and cornerback Myles Harden (tibia) were activated from the Reserve/Injured list for the game
- There had been optimism that Cedric Tillman (concussion) could return to action this week, but he remains out as he works through the concussion protocol.
- Cleveland starting cornerback Martin Emerson (shin) logged a full practice on Friday and is good to go.
