LSU student among 2 dead after crash on campus


BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Two people, including an LSU student, died in a traffic crash on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge Wednesday evening, Feb. 26.

The crash, involving a car and a motorcycle, happened around 9 p.m. on Nicholson Drive at South Quad Drive. Dashcam video from a nearby vehicle shows the two vehicles collide and both of them burst into flames.

Emergency officials responded to a major crash at the intersection of Nicholson Drive and South Quad Drive on Wednesday night, according to the LSU Police Department.(WAFB)

Investigation revealed that the driver of a Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Nicholson Drive and attempted to make a left turn onto South Quad Drive. The Honda Accord was hit by the driver of the motorcycle traveling northbound on Nicholson Drive.

Police identified the motorcyclist as 23-year-old Bohdi Linton. Bohdi’s mother, Juanita Linton, was killed in a motorcycle crash last year on I-10 East.

The driver of the Honda Accord was identified as Dillon Reidenauer, a freshman student-athlete on LSU’s track & field team.
