WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR FEB. 10
In the houses of the holy, to the middle of the mystic sea, at the cradle of the world. There’s a black cat screaming and it’s not even midnight, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with the usual montage of talent arriving at the arena.
“Main Event” Jey Uso makes his entrance through the crowd as per usual.
He’s attacked in the middle of the festivities by GUNTHER! BACK SUPLEX INTO THE ANNOUNCE DESK! He takes Uso into the ring and lays him out, stalking after him, drawing him up and tearing the shirt off his back before dropping him with a huge chop and following it up with a powerbomb!
Finally referees, security, and road agents arrive to stop the World Heavyweight Champion!
Uso gets himself together enough to get on the mic and call GUNTHER out before he leaves. He says he shouldn’t say this… HE’S CHALLENGING GUNTHER AT WRESTLEMANIA!
Backstage, Rhea Ripley is interviewed.
She says Charlotte is stalling and wasting everyone’s time trying to stall and stay relevant.
IYO SKY and Dakota Kai roll up and IYO says she’s gonna see Rhea at WrestleMania.
The distaff component of Judgment Day make their entrance and we go to break.
Back from commercial, we get a hype reel for the Creed Brothers challenging War Raiders for the tag titles.
Damage Control (Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) vs. Judgment Day (Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez)
Morgan starts but quickly tags out, Rodriguez uses her size against SKY, tag to Kai, double-teams, nearfall! Liv back in with IYO, she tries and fails to get away and so she stands and fights, trading punches with SKY! Raquel tags, cut off on the apron but she blasts IYO with a big boot and then chokebombs her into the turnbuckles!
Elbows and quick tags, SKY gets a sleeper, she slips out, back suplex, lands on her feet, Dakota tags in and trades forearms with Rodriguez! Hanging Raquel in the ropes, slingshot stomp, Liv runs in and gets thrown to the floor and blasted with a Penalty Kick! Around the way with the boot but Rodriguez throws her into the post and we go to break!
Back from commercial, Raquel with a Cobra Clutch in on Dakota, she fights out and slings Rodriguez to the floor, enzuigiri connects when she tries to block the tag, the path is clear… TAGS MADE! IYO clears the ring, big suicide dive, taking Morgan back in, off the top with a huge missile dropkick and a kip-up!
Fired up, corner knees, back and forth, Raquel back in, assisted Oblivion… STILL NO! Rodriguez powerbombs Liv into IYO… BUT THE KNEES ARE UP! Low bridge sends Raquel to the floor, tag to Kai! German suplex from SKY, Dakota rushes in, rolling lungblower… RODRIGUEZ MAKES THE SAVE!
She picks Morgan up and uses her as a weapon again, powerbombing her into IYO before going for the Vader Bomb elbow on Kai! Oblivion connects… SKY BREAKS IT UP! Dakota blasts Raquel with a kick, Codebreaker from Liv, but IYO is legal and cuts her off! Kick combo sends SKY into the ropes, up and over, kick the knee, duck the roundhouse, la casadora victory roll into a double stomp from IYO!
Buzzsaw roundhouse kick, dragging Morgan into place…
Damage CTRL win by pinfall with the diving moonsault from IYO SKY on Liv Morgan.
Commentary informs us Sami Zayn has suffered spinal compression and nerve damage after Kevin Owens attacked him last week.
We get a video package for that event.
We see Lyra Valkyria and Bayley walking separately backstage to send us to break.
Back from commercial, we see Roxanne Perez at ringside, taunting Bayley.
Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria (Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match)
Feeling out, circling, soon enough a test of strength and Bayley bends her to the mat for a pin! Trading takedowns, side headlock from Valkyria, shot off, up in the corner, the Role Model shoves her to the apron, back inside, sliding elbow countered to a backslide! Wrist control, jockeying for position, Lyra with a pinning predicament for two and Bayley decks her!
Throwing Bayley to the floor, Valkyria with a wrecking ball dropkick, she’s fired up and we go to break!
Back from commercial, Bayley with a head of steam, diving elbow… THE KNEES ARE UP! Tornado DDT, Lyra doesn’t get all of it, the Role Model gets under her, Bayley-to-Belly… SO CLOSE! Bayley pressing her attack, Lightning Spiral variation, Valkyria with a couple suplexes but Bayley won’t stay down!
Action continuing, schoolboy from Lyra… SO CLOSE! Bayley slings her neck-first into the bottom rope, drawing her up, Roseplant denied, La Casita reversed…
Bayley wins by pinfall, reversing La Casita to a pin of her own to qualify for the women’s Elimination Chamber.
We get a hype reel for Penta where he talks about how he has no fear for Ludwig Kaiser or Pete Dunne and he’ll teach them what true vengeance feels like.
Ludwig Kaiser is interviewed backstage and Pete Dunne rolls up to say he’d never help someone like Kaiser and he was just getting in his way. Dunne says he’s gonna break Penta so bad he’s gonna wish he never came here, and Kaiser tells him that he’s all his, and we go to break.
Back from commercial, American Made roll up on Lyra Valkyria, hanging out with Alpha Academy.
Ivy Nile makes fun of her and says she’s coming for her title and the Creeds are gonna win the tag titles, too.
Hardy (not Jeff or Matt, the country singer) is shown in the front row.
AJ Styles makes his entrance and gets on the mic.
He pauses to soak in thunderous “AJ Styles!” chants and says his heart was about to beat out of his chest and he’s got major deja-vu going on right now. Four months ago he came into this building with the biggest smile on his face because this was his stomping ground, he was gonna get his career back on track, it was gonna be awesome… and then he got hurt.
But he’s still got gas in the tank and something to prove, and getting back was difficult but anything worth doing is going to be hard, and now he’s standing in this ring in Nashville, Tennessee telling us that he is back!
Enter Judgment Day, consisting here of Dominik Mysterio and Carlito.
Mysterio gets on the mic and says he knows it’s been a while since AJ was on Raw and things have changed a little. The boos get overwhelming and he screams for the crowd to shut up. Styles tells him he can save his breath because he knows who they are and they’re right, things have changed.
He doesn’t see Damian Priest, where’s he at, ya lost him? He asks the crowd if they see Rhea Ripley anywhere? Where’s Finn Balor? Things change and this isn’t what he expected, and all he sees is a guy in purple skinny jeans (that’s Carlito) and Dominik, a guy that no one likes and who will always be Rey Mysterio’s punk-ass kid.
Dom goes for a cheap shot but AJ sees it coming and fends him off before dropping Colon with a Pele kick! Mysterio gets the better of him, off the ropes but Styles gets to his feet before the 619! Carlito attacks AJ, back body drop to the apron, short forearm, and then the full Phenomenal Forearm!
We get a recap of our opening segment because Raw is two and a half hours long.
Seth Rollins is interviewed in the Okerlund Position.
He says he feels great and goes for the cheap pop and his path to WrestleMania is getting clearer and clearer by the second. Jey Uso challenged GUNTHER which means all eyes are on Cody Rhodes, which means all eyes are on Elimination Chamber and the man who’s going to win, and he’ll give you a hint, he’s a visionary, a revolutionary, Seth Rollins etc.
Finn Balor rolls up and says Finn’s right, all eyes are on Seth.
But the only thing people are seeing is his downfall, and the only thing between Balor and a path to WrestleMania is a guy that’s falling apart. Rollins says they go a way back and people know they put on a show against each other, but he’s got news for him— he has unfinished business with CM Punk and then he’s got some loose ends with Cody Rhodes.
So the way he sees it, it’s Balor that’s standing in his way, but after next week, Finn won’t be standing at all.
And so we go to break.
Back from commercial we get a lot of business from Pat McAfee about a Super Bowl ad he was in.
AJ Styles meets with Adam Pearce and gets himself a match with Dominik Mysterio for next week when Bron Breakker rolls up to stare him down and say he’ll see him around.
A football man of some renown is shown in the front row, as well as another country singer.
Creed Brothers (Brutus & Julius Creed) vs. War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) (c) (WWE World Tag Team Championship)
Creeds quickly get Ivar in the corner to work him over, shoulder blocks, flying elbow, tag to Erik, slamming Ivar into a whole man, to the floor and Warbeard freight trains Brutus against the LED board! In the ring, Erik taking it to Julius, big Liger Bomb connects and we go to break!
Back from commercial, Creeds working Erik over, assisted slam for two! Soon enough Ivar gets th tag, slams and a freight train crossbody, fired up, Brutus tries to roll away but eats a Banzai drop! Reverse roundhouse on Julius, Warbeard fired up for the Bronco Buster! Underhooks… TIGER DRIVER NOT ENOUGH!
Julius pulls Erik off the apron, Brutus with an Olympic Slam… STILL NO! Ivar fired up, headed up top, Ivy Nile runs interference, Julius springs up, blind tag, superplex connects, Brutus off the top with a moonsault… ERIK BREAKS IT UP! Brutus and Erik slugging it out, Julius gets a title belt and whacks Ivar with it…
War Raiders win by disqualification.
Post-match, Brutus blasts Erik with a title belt and the Creeds stand tall holding the tag titles!
In the Judgment Day clubhouse, Finn Balor berates Liv Morgan and tells her to listen to him next time. Dominik says who cares, they have lots of opportunities coming up, and Balor says that’s a lot of excuses for a guy who AJ Styles made a fool of. Mysterio says he’s gonna take care of business next week and maybe they should add a member to make up numbers with JD McDonagh on the shelf.
Finn is vehemently against adding a new member and says he’s gonna go to WrestleMania and become champion.
Damage CTRL run into Rhea Ripley in a loading dock.
Ripley says she doesn’t owe IYO anything and she’s not giving her a match because she feels she has to, but she’s giving her a match because she wants to give her one, and so she got Adam Pearce to set up a title match for the Raw after Elimination Chamber. IYO says she’ll see her then.
CM Punk makes his entrance to send us to break.
Back from commercial, commentary hypes up next week’s show.
CM Punk gets on the mic and says we’re on the road to WrestleMania and a couple weeks ago he’d have told you with all the confidence in the world that he was gonna win the Royal Rumble and in fact he did that and then he didn’t win the Royal Rumble. But he’s not mad at Jey Uso, he likes seeing his peers reach their goals.
And Jey declared tonight that he’s going after GUNTHER, so remember when he told Cody Rhodes that he wouldn’t stab him in the back, but in the front? Well now he has to. He’s skeptical of John Cena just declaring himself for the Elimination Chamber and part of him was upset but not any longer.
John Cena is a legend who deserves to call his shot, but the bad news for John is he busted his ass to qualify for the Elimination Chamber and at some point he’s gonna beat the living crap out of Cena and beat him and go to WrestleMania and come for Cody. He asks Drew McIntyre what he thinks he’s gonna do to him in Elimination Chamber and then there’s Seth Rollins.
He’s got to qualify against Finn Balor but either man, doesn’t matter, CM Punk’s hand will be raised at the Elimination Chamber and he’s never been more confident in his entire life.
Enter Logan Paul.
He says he sees why they call him a punk, although he could come up with better names he’s not allowed to say on TV. (This isn’t TV, pal.) He can’t understand why he gets booed and Punk gets cheered. Paul says he’s got Punk’s number at the Elimination Chamber but this is Rey Mysterio’s fifteen minutes of fame to lose to Logan Paul.
Punk says the way he’s getting booed you’d think he was Dom and congratulates him on eliminating him in the Royal Rumble and he would have mentioned him in his promo for Elimination Chamber but he forgot he even had a match, and if he’s lucky enough to get past Rey he’ll put him to sleep in Toronto.
Rey Mysterio makes his entrance and shares a moment with CM Punk on the ramp as we go to break.
Logan Paul vs. Rey Mysterio (Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match)
Circling, feeling it out with mat wrestling, off the ropes, roll-through, Mysterio meets him with a wristlock. Whip reversed, up and over, Paul gets him with a tilt-a-whirl gutbuster! Logan presses the attack, in control with jabs, taunting the crowd. Action to the floor, Rey with a tornillo, throwing Logan back inside, smashing his face into the turnbuckles! Up top, jockeying for position… LOGAN PAUL MOONSAULT FALLAWAY SLAM SENDS US TO BREAK!
Back from commercial, Paul with a big waistlock takedown, Rey bails to the floor and baits Logan into meeting him! Right hands, throwing Paul into the barricade, gets the low dive, back inside, quebrada… NOT ENOUGH! Mounted punches in the turnbuckles, Logan slips under, fireman’s carry for a Finlay Roll, quebrada of his own for a nearfall!
Mysterio gets Paul on the second but he recovers and drops Rey with a boot! Mysterio with a Liger Bomb, cover for two! Logan drops him with a hard right hand…
Logan Paul wins by pinfall with kind of a Crash Landing dropped into a DDT that Pat McAfee immediately dubs the Pulverizer, qualifying for the men’s Elimination Chamber match.
Logan shouts into the camera about being hungry.
Rey Mysterio is about back to his feet when New Day attack him from behind!
That’s the show, folks.
