Christine Baumgartner is not pining over her ex-husband, Kevin Costner. Instead, the former model and handbag designer is ready for new wedding bells to ring after her 18 year marriage to the Dances With Wolves star.
A source told People that Baumgartner, 50, is officially engaged to financier Josh Connor, who proposed to her on Sunday, January 26 during “a simple intimate dinner for two in Santa Barbara” that grew much bigger than what the mother of three expected. “It was about to rain, so almost no one else was on the beach when Josh got down on one knee,” the source told the outlet.
The couple were apparently friends before they became involved romantically, and have been spotted together several times, notably Christmas shopping in New York during December 2024.
Baumgartner and Costner, 70, finalized their divorce in February 2024 after a contentious dispute over child support.
For his part, Costner has sparked romance rumors with a few women, primarily country singer Jewel, although he ultimately said that they never dated. He also was seen at a party with Jennifer Lopez in December 2024. Lopez was also newly single after her divorce from Ben Affleck, and is reportedly a huge Yellowstone fan, but they have not been seen together since.
Baumgartner and the Bull Durham actor share three children, Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 14. Costner also has children with two of his previous partners: ex-wife Cindy Silva, to whom he was married from 1987 to 1994, and former girlfriend Bridget Rooney. Costner and Silva share Annie, 40, Lily, 37, and Joe, 36, while he and Rooney share Liam, 26.
The Field of Dreams star posted a rare picture of himself with six out of seven children on Monday, December 2, in order to wrap up Thanksgiving weekend and share how grateful he was for “the many really, really special memories I’ve gotten to make with my kids this year.”
