Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- Jade Cargill is back at the WWE Performance Center for the second straight week, says PW Insider. The site’s report includes many of the same details as the one they filed when Cargill was at the PC last week, and adds that the attacker story was a way to get the Women’s Tag belts off Jade & Bianca Belair while keeping “both talents strong while prepping their creative plans for WrestleMania, especially if it involves them working against each other.”
- In a recent interview, Bad Bunny claimed that WWE Backlash will be in Mexico this year. Insider, however, claims people they spoke to in the company say that’s not the case.
- On their Elite paysite, PW Insider reports Tyler Bate is close to being cleared from the pec tear he suffered last summer. Bate is expected to rejoin the Raw roster.
- MLW signed Matt Riddle to an exclusive contract late last year, per Lucha Libre Online.
- The contracts of multiple New Japan wrestlers, including rising stars like David Finlay and Gabe Kidd, are set to expire at the end of this month, according to Fightful Select.
