National Tragedy Rips FOX Reporter Erin Andrews’ ‘Heart Out’ as Charissa Thompson Rushes to Wildlife Rescue

It was just in December when FOX sideline reporter Erin Andrews and her hubby Jarret Stoll, who is a former NHL player, took their son for ice skating at Crypto.com Arena—the home of Stoll’s former team, the Los Angeles Kings. Yes, the NFL season was in full swing and Andrews was preparing to cover Week 14, Buffalo Bills versus the Los Angeles Rams. What the reporter didn’t know was that the city that she loved so dearly, that gave her personal and professional life a boost, would get engulfed in flames just the next month.

She is absolutely devastated by the LA wildfires. As per the newest update, forecasters have warned that several parts of Southern California are at risk as strong winds and dry conditions will return this weekend. A red flag warning has been issued for Los Angeles and Ventura counties.

Unfortunately, more than 38,000 acres got burnt and over 12,000 structures have been damaged. This includes homes, stores, and sheds. Local officials are expecting this number to be higher in the coming days. Erin Andrews has spent a chunk of her life in LA, so the tragedy that has unfolded has shaken her to the core. More than 100,000 people have already been evacuated but the calamity also affects animals.

A journalist, who was busy capturing images of the ruins in their camera, helped a Pasadena woman rescue her chickens from her burning home. Then, another reporter interviewed two residents evacuating with their horses from the burning blaze. Sadly, social media is full of videos of animals like deer and dogs wandering about, confused about where to go. Animals are in distress.

So far, we don’t have exact numbers with regard to animals being displaced, injured, or killed. However, the nonprofit Pasadena Humane has taken in more than 300 animals. This includes dogs, cats, baby raccoons, and peacocks. Now Erin Andrews is doing her part. She decided to use her reach on social media to help a dog owner who has seemingly lost their golden retriever.

On her Instagram stories, the longtime Fox reporter shared a screenshot of a TikTok with an urgent plea, “Please share Rips my heart out.” This page (Help Find Dog Lost in the Fire), which Andrews shared, is trying to trace the whereabouts of a cute golden retriever named Bologne. Other than sharing his name, that page also wrote a small description that read, “We lost him in the Palisades fire. And trying our best to look for him. He’s very friendly and responds to his name.”

So, this is a message for those who are out there in Pacific Palisades. As the owner claimed, “He’s probably so scared somewhere.” Maybe calling out his name throughout the area will be more than enough to recover Bologne.

Now, Erin Andrews isn’t the only one trying to spread awareness on helping out animals. Her fellow sports commentator, Charrisa Thompson, also did the same with her social media.

Charrisa Thompson joins Erin Andrews in their quest to recover lost animals in LA wildfires

Is someone looking out for the animals? This is a question that has been running in Charissa Thompson’s mind. She used her reach on social media to send an urgent message to those who could help animals affected by the LA wildfires. Just like Andrews, she shared an IG story with the message, “Heroes. Please DM me if you know animals that need temp homes.”

Thompson owns a ranch called Ruby Ranch in LA. So, she could probably use it as an animal rescue shelter amid the destruction of several structures. Now, Thompson didn’t just offer her help for the wildlife out there in a city reduced to ashes. She probably has already started recovering a few lost animals, as per her latest Instagram updates.

Today, Charissa Thompson shared another update asking for a donation to a dog rescued from Pacific Palisades, “Pasadena Humane is seeking food, water bowls, crates, and more.” Along with that, she shared a list of animal evacuation shelters. Charissa Thompson also shared a list of human evacuation shelters and places that could use help from volunteers.

What Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson are doing with their social media handles to help wildlife should garner as much appreciation as they can get. What do you think?
