Kaia Gerber spent the first day of 2025 enjoying the sunny beaches of Cabo San Lucas.
The supermodel was photographed taking a dip in the ocean in the Mexican resort city on January 1, and she matched the electric blue water in a teeny royal blue swimsuit. The stringy two-piece had a triangle top held together with super-thin ties and a little gold charm at the center. Gerber wore it only with small gold hoop earrings, and she left her chestnut-brown hair down loose, in breezy, natural waves.
She was all smiles as she ran down the beach and into the ocean solo, and later with friends.

Gerber was noticeably sans-Austin Butler on the beach day. The two, who began dating in 2022, have not been spotted out together since October, when they were photographed grabbing dinner in New York City in coordinating blue, low-key looks. (See the photos here.)
Rumors of a split spread when Butler was not by Gerber’s side when she attended the 2024 LACMA Art+Film Gala in a fabulous lime-green, feather-embellished gown in November, or when she walked the red carpet at the Hollywood Reporter and Instagram’s Next Gen 2024 bash that same month.
Both the Elvis star and the model are very private and rarely discuss their personal lives in public, however, so it’s no surprise that they have not commented on the reports about their alleged split.
For her part, Gerber has been lying low this holiday season, and making sure she starts the new year in a positive and warm light.
